Abstract

This article is part of a seminar on Paideia: The formation of the Greek man, presented during the Doctorate in Education course by the Postgraduate Program of the Federal University of São Carlos – Sorocaba campus and aimed to analyze the term Paideia as approximate modern-day concept of integral human formation and how it is rooted in Greek identity. The methodology used was a literature review on the subject, especially the book PAIDEIA: A Formação do Home Grego, by Werner Jaeger (2013). The reflection that remains is that it is worth indicating humanist education, based on the ethics of the philosophers mentioned as a path to be followed as human beings. In times of artificial intelligence, it becomes urgent to rescue integral training in the observed context of paideia.
