Abstract

The present study seeks to understand how Applied Behavioral Analysis can help teaching practice in early childhood education based on knowledge about Autism Spectrum Disorder, understanding ABA science, its strategies and applicability to promote learning, autonomy and quality of life for children with ASD and/or neurodevelopmental delay. The research was initially carried out through data collection, seeking ideas and opinions from leading researchers dedicated to the topic of autism and education. Secondly, the research was carried out in a field study with the help of a questionnaire, with the participation of two AEE teachers and two educational psychologists who work in multidisciplinary rehabilitation clinics and who have previous experience in the public school classroom. . The data collected made it possible to verify ABA as a science, based on evidence, capable of proposing better results for progress in the context of neurodevelopmental delays.
