Abstract

Considering Laws 10,639/2003 and 11,645/2005, this work presents the actions of the Teaching Initiation Project (Prolicen), developed on the Areia campus of the Federal University of Paraíba, with undergraduate students in Biological Sciences. The objective is to report the actions developed at Prolicen, during the year 2023, bringing a discussion about the importance of ethnic-racial studies and multiculturalism associated with teacher training. As activities, we highlight exploratory bibliographic research on the Google Academic and Capes Platforms, on the actions of teaching biology associated with the laws 10,639/03 and 11,645/05, and anti-racist practices; in addition to producing scientific articles, articles for online newspapers; and the creation of biographical profiles. The importance of the actions developed at Prolicen for the initial training of undergraduate students is demonstrated to contribute to critical and citizen training for the construction of anti-racist practices.
