Abstract

This article aimed to contextualize educational planning in terms of the formulation of an established agenda, the monitoring flow and the flow of evaluation and referrals for the correction of flows in the light of the First National Education Plan (2001 to 2010) and the II Plan National Board of Education (2014 to 2024). Based on bibliographical and documentary research, this article contextualizes historical milestones in Education in Brazil, in terms of accompanying the relationships between what was planned, discussed, carried out, fundamentals, purposes, guidelines, goals foreseen and achieved in the PNE of 2001-2024, recognizing whether the actions are based or not on democratization, followed by the constitutional determination and the social right of Brazilian basic education, without deviations or ruptures. With the explicit theme, it is expected to open spaces and reflections in the search for the consolidation of a national system of public education, free, secular, democratic, non-excluding and of socially referenced quality.
