Abstract

This work aims to address the role of public policies in the field of education in Angola. The reflections contained in the text lead to open questions in several sections in order to think about education not only from the point of view of institutions, but also its role in society. As a methodological procedure, the research is of a qualitative nature, based on bibliographic research through already published literature. It was approached about the concepts of public policy, public policies, educational policy, especially a critical analysis was made on the document of the government of Angola entitled National Plan for Development and Education 2017-2030. In the research findings, it was found that public policies in Angola are not implemented efficiently and in many cases without prior analysis of the context.
