Abstract

Through Law nº 13.005, of June 15, 2014, it was established that the States, the Federal District and the Municipalities should prepare their education plans. This article is in line with the larger research carried out by GEPLAGE, with the purpose of analyzing the monitoring, periodic evaluations and ways of working of the bodies responsible for the Municipal Education Plan of the Metropolitan Regions of Sorocaba, considering the work schedule, the flow of monitoring, evaluation flow and referrals for flow correction. This study presents an initial reflection on the SME in the city of Votorantim, São Paulo, Brazil, using exploratory, qualitative and bibliographical research, based on the assumption of the importance that the elements of evaluation and monitoring of the SME consolidate a document of educational policy and planning in a reflective, participatory-democratic perspective.
